Day 1: Win the Battle of the Kitchen
The first step was to realize that you need a healthy lifestyle, and you have already passed at that. But what is your today’s goal? It’s about conquering your kitchen. We are not talking about having a food fight with your sibling (though it sounds more like a fun idea). What we are saying is that you will have to ditch all those junk foods you are eating all these years and replace them with new friends. Your new healthy pals will be fruits, veggies, whole grains, etc. Just take it as a breakup with your toxic ex (junk foods) and create a healthy relationship with the foods that will make you happy in the long run.
Day 2: Hydration Station Initiation
The second day of the healthy lifestyle journey is remembering what you learned on day 1. You are already eating healthy, but what about drinking healthy? Drink at least 8 glasses of liquid. Bonus point and a kudo if you jazz it up with some lemon, mint, cucumber, or your favorite veggies. We understand vegetable water is not as cool as juice or something, but it is still healthy and better than plain water anyway. It will be like keeping yourself hydrated and taking in all the vitamins that your body needs.
Day 3: Break Up With That Snooze Button
We know what you have been going through because trust us, we were in your place once and that snooze button is like an alluring bad habit that is not easy to quit. But you will have to take that very crucial and most difficult decision: wake up early. The day 3 mission is waking up early and boosting your productivity as well as mental health. Keep it going. Set that alarm, and once it goes off, jump out of your bed like you just remembered leaving the oven on. Having those extra zzzs is even more trouble than that, trust me.
Day 4: Get Movin’, Movin’, Movin’
Oh, you dread that “E” word: exercise? Well, who doesn’t? Let’s not run a marathon unless you want to, of course. Walk around your neighborhood for 20 minutes, and say hi to that girl next door. There goes the list of adventures you want to accomplish every day. Walking is good for your heart, actually. Or you can also dance in your living room like no one is watching—because they aren’t, and it’s free.
Day 5: The Zen Zone
You already know how smart you are, but you will have to make sure to show your brain enough love. Meditation is a thing to start from day 5 which sounds like something monks do on the top of the mountain. Maybe you can’t go to a mountain right now, but you have a bed, and you can sit there for 10 minutes and meditate. Just as much meditation will quiet your mind, you will also need a quiet spot to perform it. Close your eyes, and count from 1 to 10 while focusing on your breath. And since you are a creative person, your mind will wander in a candy store, but you will have to be responsible for gently steering it back again. Meditation is like herding a cat in a peaceful manner.
Day 6: Master That Menu
You have already made it halfway, and now it’s time to level up your food game again. You have already cast out those junk toxic foods on day 1. Now day 6 is about planning your food game for the next day. Figure out what you are going to eat at lunch the next day at your workplace. Pack up your food with some colorful, nutritious integrity, if you wish. Make your plate a rainbow with colorful fruits and veggies. No Skittles, okay? Keep that outta the list. You can experiment with healthy breakfast recipes; you can take ideas from Pinterest which is your ultimate foodie BFF.
Day 7: Beauty Sleep Bootcamp
Congratulations, you have laughed and cried while chopping onions, and you have won over that snooze button. Day 7 is the time for the grand finale: sleep. It’s not like you shouldn’t sleep on the other days, but on day 7, you should learn how to sleep properly. Your body is a phone and sleep is a charger that is afraid of the light and screen. Keep the phone outta your reach, that’s all we ask of you.
Bonus Round: The Three Ps—Patience, Persistence, and Pizza
Transforming into healthy lifestyle habits is not an overnight gig. It is a lifelong journey. That’s why we discussed a list of habits that you can practice on a daily basis. It’s not like you should skip one that you have achieved on the other day. It’s like you should continue each of them daily. Continue the habits you have learned over 6 days on day 7. Since you are a beginner lifestyle superhero, this post was an easy way to make a healthy lifestyle routine. While you are doing it, keep patience, persistence, and yes, pizza once in a while. and always eat healthy before you run. what to eat before running
