Jane Park, who made headlines as the UK’s youngest EuroMillions winner at just 17, has taken to social media to warn her followers about a notorious scammer she encountered. Park, who won £1 million in 2013, posted on Instagram urging her 205,000 followers to “run for your life” if approached by the individual.
The 34-year-old man, whose identity remains protected due to ongoing legal cases, was convicted of fraud earlier this year. Posing as a Glasgow gangster, the scammer attempted to extort £2,500 from a woman, threatening her car with arson unless she paid. Although spared jail, he was ordered to repay the money.
Park claimed the man had also tried to approach her, prompting her to share the warning on her Instagram stories, where she labeled him a “real life Tinder swindler.” She tagged fellow influencer Victoria McCrae, a cabin crew member with 21,000 followers, who had also allegedly been targeted by the same conman.
Reports suggest the scammer stalked both women online, researching their backgrounds and personal lives in an effort to manipulate and control them. A source close to Park said, “Jane is determined to make sure no one else falls victim to his tactics.”
While Park has kept much of her personal life out of the spotlight in recent years, she continues to use her platform to raise awareness about online scams. Victoria McCrae has not commented publicly on the situation, and Jane’s spokesperson has declined to offer further remarks.
